Just in time for the holiday season, Breitling releases a gold capsule collection featuring five quintessential models—three Navitimers and two Premiers. Each model is crafted in 18k red gold and showcases dial colors and movements that were previously never combined—making every piece exclusive. Production is highly limited and available only through select boutiques and on Breitling.com.

Breitling has always drawn design inspiration from its heritage while consistently moving forward. These five references embody that philosophy. Breitling, with a catalog rich in classics and a modern approach to design, is uniquely positioned to combine colors with designs that have stood the test of time.

Full-gold watches make an unmistakable statement, commanding powerful wrist presence while exuding elevated elegance. The weight of gold compared to steel conveys a tangible sense of luxury. Red gold, a hue that’s more subdued than yellow gold, brings a warmth that suits both formal and casual attire.

“The design of both the Navitimer and the Premier is immensely popular with collectors and newcomers,” says Breitling CEO Georges Kern. “These designs are as classic as they are universally appealing. The intricate solid red-gold cases, contrasting polished and brushed surfaces, topped with exclusive dial colors are tailored for connoisseurs, and those seeking something truly distinctive.”

Breitling Navitimer gold capsule collection

The Navitimer is the undeniable icon in Breitling’s catalog, amongst the most important chronographs, and famous for being one of the longest continuously produced timepieces in watchmaking history. Initially developed in 1952 as the ideal in-flight wrist computer, with its circular slide rule and chronograph movement, it quickly became a favorite among pilots, professionals, and enthusiasts worldwide. The Navitimer rose to prominence alongside the golden age of civil aviation, even journeying into space on astronaut Scott Carpenter’s wrist in 1962. The blend of its function and distinctive look attracted not only professionals, but icons like Miles Davis, Serge Gainsbourg, Jim Clark, and Graham Hill.

Navitimer B01 41 gold capsule

This gold capsule includes three Navitimers. First, the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 41 comes with a brown dial, white subdials and distinctive circular slide rule, and case-matching red-gold logo, hands, and indexes. The 41 mm is the smallest diameter with the Manufacture Caliber 01 and is the size of the original from the 1950s. The white date disc fits into the symmetrical 6 o’clock subdial position and blends in perfectly with its color. As is typical for Breitling’s manufacture calibers, the caseback is open, showing the movement with the red gold skeletonized rotor with its Geneva stripes. The watch features a brown alligator strap and a red-gold folding clasp.

Navitimer Automatic 36 gold capsule

The Navitimer Automatic 36 comes in a green dial with a matching outer slide rule, making for a single-color dial. It’s powered by the time-only automatic Breitling Caliber 17. The midsize 36 mm case diameter hits a sweet spot for those who’d like a smaller watch with a sleek time-only layout. The watch is fitted to a dial-matching green alligator strap with a red gold tang-type buckle.

Navitimer 32 gold capsule

The Navitimer 32 comes in an all-brown dial, a matching outer slide rule and with subtle, elegant diamond hour markers. It’s the smallest of the three, and comes with a thermo-compensated SuperQuartz™ Breitling Caliber 77, enabling the slimmest case profile from the three at just 8 mm. Matching the dial, the strap comes in brown alligator with a red-gold tang-type buckle. In contrast to the classic knurled bezel of the chronograph, both time-only Navitimers come with the beaded bezel—reminiscent of the very first Navitimers of the 1950s.

Breitling Premier gold capsule collection

The Premier is Breitling’s heritage-inspired land-based chronograph and was born in the 1940s—considered the golden era of watch design. Launched at the end of WWII, and named in French for “the first,” the Premier was a shift from function first, to function over form—with style. The line was launched under the founder’s grandson, Willy Breitling, who had understood that Breitling timepieces should stand for a symbol of impeccable taste. The current Premier watches come in contemporary sizes, modern tech and specifications, and of course, designs cues that have been synonymous with Breitling for the better part of a century.

Breitling Premier B01 42 gold capsule

The Premier B01 Chronograph 42 comes in a navy-blue dial with red-gold hands and indexes, two subdials—one for the running seconds and one 30-minute totalizer—and a 6 o’clock date. It’s powered by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01, and naturally comes with an open caseback, showing the movement and the 18k red-gold, skeletonized Geneva-striped rotor. Mounted onto the case is a light-brown alligator strap with a red-gold folding clasp.

Breitling Premier B09 40 gold capsule

Second is the Premier B09 Chronograph 40, with a dark green dial and red-gold hands and indexes. It comes in a more classically-sized 40 mm and a slimmer case thanks to the manually wound manufacture B09 caliber—perfect for accommodating a smaller wrist. As a manufacture caliber, the B09 is also visible through the display caseback and is seen in its full beauty with its rotor-less configuration. Strapped to the case is a dark-brown alligator strap with a red-gold folding clasp.

All five pieces have been produced in very low quantities and won’t be reproduced in this configuration. The combination of iconic design, exclusive colors, and precious metals makes them appeal both to longtime Breitling enthusiasts and those looking to enter the brand with impact. Perfectly timed for holiday gifting, these watches will be available starting early December. Preorders are open now and can be placed through your Breitling boutique.

Disclaimer: The Navitimer 32 will not be available in the U.S.
