The all-new MG 8 PHEV is now available in Qatar

Auto Class Cars, the authorized general distributor for MG in Qatar, released the all-new MG 8 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) in Qatar, marking the start of a new era for the brand in the country. 


As MG’s first PHEV mid-size sedan in the Middle East, the all-new MG 8 combines sleek design, premium comfort, and cutting-edge technology with a record-breaking hybrid range of up to 1,655km and 125km of pure electric driving. The new model offers customers total flexibility with long-distance performance and no range anxiety.

Earlier this year, the MG 8 set a Guinness World Record for the longest distance covered by a PHEV, achieving a measured distance of 2,208 kilometres on a single tank and full charge, with an average fuel consumption of just 2.49L/100km. This historic milestone underscores MG’s technological leadership and commitment to redefining efficiency without compromising performance.


Specifically engineered for the Middle East, the MG 8 PHEV underwent extensive hot-weather testing to ensure durability, reliability, and consistent performance in extreme summer conditions. The model also carries both GSO (Gulf Standardization Organization) and SASO (Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization) certifications, highlighting compliance with the region’s highest quality and safety standards.


The exterior of the all-new MG 8 PHEV embodies the brand’s philosophy of elegance and refinement with a bold and dynamic edge. Its aggressive wide grille, sharp LED headlights, integrated fog lamps, and connected LED tail lamps give the saloon a commanding road presence. With a wheelbase of 2810 mm, this mid-size sedan exudes a regal presence, complemented by its streamlined profile, flowing roofline, and meticulously sculpted details that enhance its sleek, modern appeal—ensuring it commands attention as both stylish and sophisticated.

Record-breaking range of up to 1,655 km combined and 125km in pure EV mode

Inside, the all-new MG 8 PHEV sets a new standard for sedans with a luxury-inspired interior mirroring an executive, premium lounge. Premium leather, dual 12.3-inch digital displays, a sunroof, and zero-gravity cloud-sensing seats create an environment that is both stylish and supremely comfortable. With generous space, including extended rear legroom of 933mm, and refined finishes such as suede quilting, the all-new MG 8 PHEV brings a sense of modern elegance to every journey.



Powered by MG’s DMH Super Hybrid Technology for unmatched efficiency and performance

Powered by a 1.5L plug-in hybrid engine delivering 201hp and 330Nm of torque, the all-new MG 8 PHEV utilizes MG’s advanced DMH Super Hybrid Technology, which intelligently manages the switch between petrol and electric power. This ensures drivers enjoy both excellent pickup, strong power delivery, and smooth long-distance performance, while maximising fuel efficiency. With five driving modes that adapt automatically to conditions, the all-new MG 8 PHEV delivers optimal efficiency and flexibility.


An industry-first 5-in-1 PICU Controller ensures the vehicle’s systems work more efficiently together, improving responsiveness while reducing energy waste. NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) levels have also been improved by 10% compared to similar products, keeping the cabin quiet and smooth for greater comfort on every journey.


The all-new MG 8 PHEV will be available in two trims to suit different customer needs, both delivering strong value through a comprehensive package of design, comfort, safety, and technology. In addition, the model is backed by an 8 years / 120,000km battery warranty, giving customers extra peace of mind when investing in hybrid technology. The 1.5L STD includes LED headlamps with fog lamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, dual digital displays, a 6-speaker audio system, USB ports for front and rear passengers, auto air conditioning with rear vents, a 6-way powered driver’s seat, a leather steering wheel, and essential safety features such as multiple airbags, parking sensors, and regenerative braking.


Backed by an 8-year / 120,000km battery warranty

For added sophistication, the 1.5L COM enhances the offering with 18-inch alloy wheels, curtain airbags, a 360-degree camera, power-folding mirrors, ventilated and memory driver’s seat, and a four-way electric passenger seat, while also retaining premium conveniences such as seamless smartphone connectivity.

The Italian coffee brand Lavazza and the Moschino fashion house will team up to unveil an immersive pop-up experience at No.193 Anfu Road, in the historical district of central Shanghai. "Espresso Your Style" is a collaboration that blends bold fashion statements with the rich aromas of espresso, inviting visitors to embark on a sensory journey where Italian fashion culture meets the highest quality of coffee.


For five days only, Shanghai’s Anfu Road will be transformed into a sky-high dreamscape filled with clouds, fashion, and a giant goose. Wearing Moschino’s iconic boat hat, this “feathered fashionista” floats above the city, sipping Lavazza as if it were the season’s hottest accessory.


The pop-up collaboration between Lavazza and Moschino is more than just an experience in Shanghai; it is a cultural celebration, brought to life by a series of images designed to accompany this special occasion. Inspired by Moschino’s signature runway aesthetics under creative director Adrian Appiolaza, the partnership fuses art, fashion, and urban sentiment with Lavazza’s signature coffee experience.



Inside the pop-up, three themed areas await: the Limited-Time Coffee Bar, the Sky Mirror Photo Zone, and the Cloud Garden Terrace, together creating an immersive, multi-sensory playground. Visitors can also enjoy three creative drinks, developed by Lavazza’s F&B experts exclusively for celebrating this collaboration, along with co-branded tote bags and Goose Espresso cups, available for a limited time at Lavazza stores across Shanghai and selected cities in China.
