A new day dawns at Graff with the arrival of Sunrise

In celebration of Haute Couture Week, Graff will exhibit an incredible collection of yellow diamonds at its flagship boutique in Paris. Launching on 4th July 2023, visitors to Sunrise: A Celebration of Graff Yellow Diamonds will discover a world of rarity and lustre – a showcase of high jewellery pieces featuring rare yellow diamonds, set alongside displays that tell of Graff’s storied history with these incomparable miracles of nature. Graff will also unveil a sensational new high jewellery necklace featuring an extremely rare 30 carat Fancy Intense Yellow pear shape diamond, accompanied by a further 138 carats of yellow and white diamonds.

Created using the stone-led design techniques for which the Graff atelier is renowned, every element of the jewel has been crafted to emphasise the elegant silhouette of the centre stone. “Before we design, we study each diamond carefully to uncover the secrets that lie within its depths. Only then do we design, and when we do, we work to accentuate the natural beauty of each stone. The Fancy Intense Yellow diamond set into this piece gives a golden sunshine glow,” explained Anne-Eva Geffroy, Design Director at Graff. She continued: “Yellow diamonds bring so much joy. It is an honour to be inspired by stones that radiate such beauty. The yellow diamonds we work with are exceptional in quality, cut and quantity. Very few jewellers have the luxury of such a wide range of colour.” FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE The Graff name is synonymous with the world’s finest Fancy Yellow diamonds.

Further pieces on display will include unique high jewellery necklaces, Tribal inspired jewels, earrings and singlestone rings that are unmistakably Graff, combining superb stones with bold design and unparalleled craftsmanship. An impressive roster of important and famous yellow diamonds have passed through the House over the course of its history. It all began in 1974 with the Star of Bombay, a historical yellow stone that was re-cut and polished by Graff using revolutionary expertise and new techniques. It was through Graff’s understanding of how beautiful coloured diamonds could be skilfully cut and polished that the world began reappraising and appreciating these jewels.

Since then, Graff has introduced many famous and historical fancy yellow diamonds over the years, including the breathtaking Delaire Sunrise (118.08ct) and the honey-hued Golden Empress (132.55ct). To this day, Fancy Yellow diamonds continue to fascinate and to capture the hearts and imaginations of the Graff House, as seen in this collection of new exceptional Graff high jewellery pieces. MAX MARA - La Vie en Vert takes its cue from the kind of tropical gardens whose profusion borders on the gothic. Abundant foliage and labyrinthine pathways feature in prints, where they mingle with dappled light and shade animal patterns to produce a new kind of camouflage. It starts out with black and white, then breaks out in colour; all the greens with flashes of turquoise. A billowing georgette combinaison with pleated inserts, an elegant pyjama suit that drapes on one side or an airy kaftan are eye-catching vehicles for the new prints. A suede skirt that’s cut into fringes or a perfectly detailed trench in butter soft leather will get you noticed, and a plisse soleil skirt with military pockets will give you exactly the right measure of decontracté glam.
