In line with the spirit of giving and gratitude during the holy month of Ramadan, Alfardan Sports Motors—the official Ferrari Importer in Qatar since 1999—has pledged its support to local charities by donating a large collection of Ferrari branded children and infants’ clothing and lifestyle products to the Qatar Cancer Society and Qatar Autism Center. The donations were presented this week during special ceremonies at the respective entities’ headquarters.
With a long history of giving to charitable causes in Qatar, Alfardan Sports Motors has always been a strong supporter of public welfare activities and organizations. The initiative forms part of Alfardan Sports Motors Corporate Social Responsibility policy to give back to the community as well as to contribute to the wellbeing of society, especially when it comes to further improving education and youth development.
The ceremonies brought together representatives from Ferrari Qatar, Qatar Cancer Society, and Qatar Autism Center as well as children and their families in order to spread awareness about the impact of cancer and autism that has affected thousands of children.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Tarek Al Hammoud, General Manager of Alfardan Sports Motors - Ferrari Qatar, said: “We are proud to see our commitment to Qatar Cancer Society and Qatar Autism Center come to life through hosting donation ceremonies for these charitable organizations. This initiative is another clear indication of our commitment to spreading awareness about cancer and autism impacting many children and their families in Qatar. Our mission at Ferrari Qatar will always be to contribute to the people of Qatar, the wider community and supporting their wellbeing and helping to fulfill their dreams.”
Qatar Cancer Society and Qatar Autism Center were carefully selected by Alfardan Sports Motors because of their positive impact on so many in the community. Qatar Cancer Society works to eliminate the burden of cancer in Qatar by educating, supporting, empowering those living with the disease as well as engaging in professional development and research. Founded in October 2010, the Qatar Autism Center was inaugurated under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education. The facility includes two spacious villas that reflect all of the modern international rehabilitation standards and they provide an appropriate classroom environment for disabled students.
