Rightly named as the ‘Best of the Best’ by TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards in 2020, Amaseena is the ideal destination to treat and showcase visitors and travelers alike to food and traditions of the Middle East or for residents friends and family to indulge in a weekly Arabian feast.
At this award-winning, all al fresco restaurant, diner’s imaginations are enchanted as their palates are treated to a gastronomic journey through the Gulf amid Bedouin-inspired tents and palm trees swaying in the gentle sea breeze. Carrying on with it’s 19-year legacy, Amaseena encourages guests to discover the beauty and romance of old Arabia and puts forth extraordinary Arabic cuisine, from succulent meats enlivened with bold spices to freshly caught seafood. Guests can also learn about regional cooking techniques such as the Mendi oven, where rice, lamb and chicken is cooked underground, on a layered grill, so while the meat is cooking, all the juices are absorbed by the rice, creating a flavorsome, well-rounded dish.
Guests can get acquainted with the aromas and flavors native to this region by enjoying family-style hot and cold mezzeh platters and dessert platter of Arabic sweets, Umm Ali and Cheese Kunafa served to the table. Exploration of the live chef’s stations for mains is encouraged from Saj to Shawarma and freshly grilled meats with everyone’s favourite Shish Tawook, Lamb Chops, Shish Kebab, Lamb Kofta and seafood including Salmon Filet, Lobsters and Gulf Prawns. All complemented by additions including Arabic coffee and Morroccan Tea.
Enjoy special theme nights every Wednesday and Thursday, and let the specially prepared dishes and evocative sounds of live Arabic music transport you to another time. Journey through the streets of Middle Eastern countries such as Morocco, Egypt, Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria as Amaseena brings to life, popular local eats on weekly nights all through October. Enjoy treats such as Moroccan Lamb Tagine, Yemeni Chicken Mandi, Syrian Fetteh and “Harak Osbao” Lentil Stew and Egyptian national dish Kusheri, to name a few.
