THE COLLABORATIVE MENU OF TWO MICHELIN-STARRED CHEF WOLFGANG BECKER FOR WORLD CLASS CHEFS REVEALED AT MANDARIN ORIENTAL, DOHA UNTIL 06 NOVEMBER 2021
Two Michelin-starred Chef Wolfgang Becker of Becker’s Restaurant revealed his menu collaboration with Executive Chef Lam Chi Kuen of Liang Restaurant at Mandarin Oriental, Doha on Tuesday 02 November. The chefs created a 6-course menu featuring a combination of Cantonese dishes and modern haute cuisine as part of the World Class Chefs culinary series and is available until Saturday 06 November.
Guests can experience Chef Wolfgang’s signature dishes and Chef Lam’s Cantonese specialities, like Chef Wolfgang’s uniquely presented seafood soup with scallops, Alaskan king crab and seaweed, and Wild Carabinero Prawn with crustacean oil, chives with various textures of cauliflower. Chef Lam presents Liang Restaurant’s guest favourites like Xiao Long Bao dumpling, Sichuan-style Sea bass with wood fungus, capsicums in chili and broad bean sauce. For Dessert, a Citrus Medica with lemon caviar, Madagascar vanilla, meringue, lemon basil leaves and vanilla lime gelato.
“I am delighted to be here at Mandarin Oriental, Doha to bring both our chef stories on a plate with this menu collaboration with Chef Lam.” said Chef Wolfgang, explaining the inspiration for the menu “To me food is a journey, and with this menu it’s no exception that guests will be transported through a journey of fine cuisine and exceptional Cantonese flavours,” he added.
