Codex Beauty Labs Launches Its Antü Collection: Protective, Reparative Skincare Products Made with Ingredients Sourced from Patagonia
Codex Beauty Labs, the plant-based biotech beauty brand, is kicking off 2021 with its second collection of solution- oriented products - Antü, launching April 2021. This latest collection protects the skin’s barrier against reactive oxidative stress with ingredients sourced from the unique, low-pollution climate of the Patagonian rainforest.
Designed to protect and restore the skin, the Antü collection includes a range of products to support the microbiome and strengthen the skin barrier. The products defend against UV exposure and particulate pollutants (called PM2.5 by the EPA), resulting in skin with a healthy glow. Codex Beauty Labs will release two new Antü products every eight weeks, including:

Named after the most powerful Pillan spirit in the mythology of the Mapuche native people of Chile, Antü represents the Sun, as well as light, wisdom and spirit and was said to have created the Andes mountains.
Harnessing the power of bio-actives from Patagonian plants long valued by the Mapuche people for their protecting and healing properties, Codex Beauty Labs maintains its uncompromised quality with its Antü Collection by collaborating with experts in botany, foraging, genetic analysis, biotech, and formulation to leverage the most effective ingredients possible.
All products are manufactured in a high-tech, automated cosmetic cGMP (ISO22716) manufacturing facility to deliver the highest quality. Five of the six products are packaged in negative carbon footprint, airless, touchless tubes. Codex Beauty Labs plans to eliminate all glass packaging in 2022, and is actively working on developing recyclable, mono-material sugarcane- based plastic bottles.
As with all Codex Beauty Labs collections, every single product in the Antü line undergoes efficacy testing to prove its performance, which is carried out at a third-party clinical facility under the supervision of a dermatologist and toxicologist. Technicians produce quantitative measurements within a statistically meaningful subject population (at least 30 subjects) using instrumentation accepted by the dermatological community for evaluating specific skin parameters. Codex Beauty Labs then clearly communicates these quantitative results to the consumer in an easy-to-read efficacy panel that provides a transparent snapshot of product performance, so that consumers can understand exactly how claims are made.
