Dusit Doha Hotel launches Seafood Night and new Friday Brunch at Taste

Dusit Doha Hotel, the modern upscale full-service hotel in West Bay’s Diplomatic Area, is serving up one of the biggest catches yet for seafood lovers with its Thursday Night Seafood promotion at its international restaurant, Taste. The restaurant has also refreshed its Friday brunch menu.

Available every Thursday from 18:30 to 22:00 and priced at just QR200 per person with soft drinks, or QR295 per person with soft drinks and house beverages, the new seafood buffet features an amazing array of seafood creations from ceviche to sushi, plus a wide range of traditional dishes and a fresh peel-and-eat counter where guests can enjoy their pick of the catch.

A healthy station features mouthwatering options such as Lobster salad with parmesan and aromatic croutons; Caesar-dressed prawns Panzanella with tomatoes, sweet onions, fresh basil and white balsamic; and Alaskan Crab, shrimp with orange powder, artichoke and arugula.

The ‘Fried & Eat’ zone, meanwhile, features calamari, shrimp tempura and the ever-popular fish and chips, while the ‘Catch of the Day’ station features local prize catches of baby red hammour, red snapper and Sultan Ibrahim.

Sushi lovers are in for a rocking time at the Roll-On Sushi counter, where they’ll find an array of Nigiri, Makis and Sashimi as well as salmon, tuna, yellowtail and California rolls. At the Ceviche station, Hamachi, tuna carpaccio and sashimi take the honours. Caviar with blinis adds a touch of class at the Blini Station.

Highlights of the aforementioned peel-and-eat counter include a medley of oysters on the half-shell, poached shrimp, Alaskan King Crab leg, chilled Maine lobster, local blue crabs and steamed green mussels.

Diners can also choose from five imaginative main dishes, including sea bass, pan-seared hammour, baked salmon and kingfish fillets, rock shrimp and grilled shrimp served with rice and crunchy cooked vegetables.

Rounding off the night are nine impressive selections of ‘Something Sweet’ – including the Middle East’s favourite, Umm Ali.

“As you would expect from a Thai hospitality brand, our chefs have scoured the world for the best of offerings for our Thursday Night promotion, and it’s a magnificent catch for seafood lovers,” said Mr Gerhard Stutz, Cluster General Manager, Dusit Doha Hotel and Dusit Hotel & Suites.

“Being a sea-facing city and with seafood having a prime place in the local cuisine heritage, it’s appropriate that we reflect these assets with a celebration of local and internationally harvested ocean produce.”

The Thursday night promotion is not the only star of the show. Taste has also refreshed its Friday Brunch menu to feature a scrumptious selection of Arabic, Thai and international dishes, including foodie favourites Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai, Ouzi and sushi. Live shawarma and Indian cooking stations also bring the weekend to life.

Running from noon until 16:00, the Friday Brunch is priced at QR220 for guests choosing a soft drinks package, and QR320 for the selected house beverages package. Children from 6 to 12 year dine for half price, and children under 6 dine for free. Live DJ entertainment adds to the fun, family-friendly atmosphere.
