Four Luxurious Hotels in Oman Turn off Their Lights to Celebrate Earth Hour

All four hotels will turn their lights off from 8:30pm to 9:30pm

The InterContinental Muscat, Crowne Plaza Muscat OCEC, Crowne Plaza Salalah and Crowne Plaza Duqm will turn off their lights at 8:30 pm on March 27th, 2021, in support of the Earth Hour global initiative to raise awareness on climate change and renewable energy. With the Sultanate’s unique nature, this small gesture can contribute towards preserving its valleys, mountains, and coastline.

Employees of the hotels will gather in a symbolic ceremony at 8:30 pm to celebrate the event by switching off all non-essential lights, and guests can also opt to close their room lights during the hour.

InterContinental Hotels Group has seven properties across three brands in Oman, including InterContinental® Muscat, Crowne Plaza® Muscat, Crowne Plaza® Oman Convention and Exhibition Center, Crowne Plaza® Sohar, Crowne Plaza Duqm, Crowne Plaza® Salalah, and Holiday Inn® Seeb.
