Haute Parfumerie house unveils its first Maison Éphémère pop-up at iconic Paris department store

Henry Jacques unveils its first-ever Maison Éphémère at Paris’ legendary Samaritaine department store. From June to August 2026, the Haute Parfumerie welcomes visitors to experience the best in French Art-de-Vivre at its exclusive pop-up, and discover a new fragrance that marries its celebrated artistry with the unmistakable soul of Samaritaine.
Two HOUSES in HARMONY
Henry Jacques and Samaritaine share more than a Parisian address, they share a story shaped by special encounters and passion. Both were founded by couples whose creative synergy gave rise to enduring legacies: Marie-Louise and Ernest Cognacq Jaÿ for Samaritaine; Yvette and Henry Cremona, then Anne-Lise Cremona and Christophe Tollemer, for Henry Jacques.
A family-owned house born in the 1970s in the South of France, Henry Jacques has since become a reference in Haute Parfumerie. Building upon its Sur-Mesure, or bespoke, heritage and uniting a house of composition with a house of design, CEO Anne-Lise Cremona and Artistic Director Christophe Tollemer safeguard Henry Jacques’ essence as a true Maison de Création.
Independent by nature, Henry Jacques creates out of its own laboratory, atelier, and, more recently, rose harvest, ensuring complete freedom and attention to detail so impeccable that it is often compared to an haute couture house. It does not simply preserve tradition, but allows it to evolve and remain meaningful in today’s world, maintaining its distinctive signature whilst welcoming innovation.
In the same spirit, Samaritaine merges heritage with modernity, offering experiences at the crossroads of multiple worlds: it is an Art Nouveau and Art Deco landmark, an exclusive retail destination, home to restaurants and a spa; each universe converges to create a seamless and unmistakably French experience that has paved the way for extraordinary experiences since the 1800’s.
Driven by a shared vision of excellence, Samaritaine and Henry Jacques come together in a play of creativity, culture and emotion – not only preserving French savoir-faire, but continually reimagining it.
OLFACTIVE STYLE AT Maison Éphémère
With Maison Éphémère, Henry Jacques offers more than a pop-up. The installation was conceived as a true living space, a condensed expression of its flagship boutique at 2 Avenue Montaigne, Paris, where perfume, décor, art and craftsmanship converge in an environment ripe for discovery. Visitors are invited to slow down, explore, feel, and engage in genuine exchanges.
“I believe true luxury in perfumery today comes down to one essential element: time. When you refuse to compromise on quality, you need the finest raw materials, you need to let nature take its course, and you rely on the most skilled craftsmen, all of which are rare and require time. The same is true for the client experience. Creating something meaningful, building real conversations, understanding each individual – this also takes time,” said Anne-Lise Cremona.
Maison Éphémère tells the story of Henry Jacques’ unique approach to perfumery, one that places fragrance at the heart of everyday life. Through a myriad of scents and multiple variations that can be carried with HJ Voyage, interchanged with Clic-Clac, the Maison allows perfume to accompany you through each moment of life. From the iconic Les Classiques to precious Les Toupies or rare Collection de l’Atelier, Henry Jacques invites visitors to discover the full richness of its Art-de-Vivre – and be guided in cultivating their personal olfactive style, the journey unfolding at their own pace.
LES YEUX RIVÉS, EXCLUSIVE TO SAMARITAINE
To mark the collaboration and launch of Maison Éphémère, Henry Jacques unveils a new limited edition perfume, Les Yeux Rivés. Born from the encounter with Samaritaine, and housed in a case inspired by the department store’s iconic Art Deco patterns, the scent captures the unmistakable facets of Paris.
Les Yeux Rivés, “a captivated gaze”, opens like a morning walk along the banks of La Seine. Luminous, invigorating, alive, the fragrance unfolds with bright bergamot and vibrant ginger that awaken the senses as sunlight touches the water. Orange blossom drifts through, evoking a gentle breeze. The air is imbued with lightness; a faint smile reveals a gentle anticipation of the Parisian bustle to come.
Then, the fragrance reveals its timelessness: a symphony between radiant rose and powdery iris – elegant, French, blooming. It embodies a romanticism that transcends time, a nod to the city of love and to the couples behind both houses who have preserved traditional savoir-faire while reimagining French Art-de-Vivre. Later comes indulgence: the quiet pleasure of lingering a little longer on a café terrace. Tonka melts into addictive vanilla, deepened by patchouli. A sweetness reminiscent of teatime beneath Parisian arcades.
Les Yeux Rivés is a composition of refinement and balance, carrying the allure of a city in endless flow, where culture, architecture and beauty meet at every turn. It is made of stolen moments and exchanged glances, joy captured and held close. It celebrates a living elegance: playful, vivid, and free. A joie de vivre to be worn lightly, and lived fully.
Experience Maison Éphémère at Samaritaine from June to August 2026. A perfumed postcard bar will allow guests to share their olfactive experience with loved ones and special ice cream pairings complement the sensory experience, revealing Les Yeux Rivés in a new light every weekend.
Les Yeux Rivés will be available for purchase exclusively throughout this period; prices start at 1480 €.
