Henry Jacques has strengthened its presence in the Middle East with the opening of a boutique in The Galleria Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi. The Maison’s third retail space in the region will showcase, in its characteristic homely, Parisian style, its entire range of exquisitely hand-crafted fragrances.
Henry Jacques continues to honour its deep-rooted connections with the United Arab Emirates. CEO Anne-Lise Cremona, daughter of Founder Henry Cremona, stated: “It is a powerful moment for me personally to finally be able to share our story and creations in Abu Dhabi after so many years; our family’s ties here make it even more special. A love of fine perfumery is ingrained in Middle Eastern culture, and I am delighted to now be able to celebrate our passion in a city so close to home for us.”
Visitors to the boutique will be able to discover all of Henry Jacques’ creations, from the Les Classiques essences at its heart to its lighter Les Brumes splash and sprays, the Les Exceptions masterpieces – the rare Les Toupies and jewellery-inspired Renaissance flacons – and the newly reimagined bespoke or Sur-Mesure service where olfactory dreams are brought to life.
Christophe Tollemer, the Maison’s Artistic Director, has once again tailored a space echoing an exceptional and classical 19th century French apartment, with all components crafted and shipped from France to maintain the beauty of its craftsmanship. Like the perfumes themselves, the boutique’s décor combines both traditional and contemporary elements, resulting in timeless appeal.
Upon entering the boutique, eyes are drawn to a striking perfume organ symbolizing the historic Henry Jacques laboratory in the South of France. Continuing through the space, one finds an exquisitely crafted alcove elegantly displaying the Maison’s essences. A signature illuminated Corian wall niche housing the fifty Les Classiques sits above the graceful and comfortable lounge area, inviting guests to discover the collections in a sanctuary where one can forget the passing of hours and dive into the boundless allurement of great perfumery.
With roots dating back half a century and beginnings purely as a bespoke house, Henry Jacques is one of the world’s last family-run perfumeries. Creating fragrances for those with an appreciation for Haute Parfumerie, Henry Jacques began sharing its savoir-faire with the world when it moved outside its private Salon in Paris and opened to the public in Harrods seven years ago. Today, the Maison has expanded its global footprint with boutiques in Dubai and Doha in the Middle East, Beverly Hills in the US, and Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and Singapore in Asia.
