SECURES PRESTIGIOUS AWARD FOR THE BEST HOTEL ARCHITECTURE AND INTERIOR DESIGN IN THE MIDDLE EAST
Le Gray Beirut, a Campbell Gray Hotel, has been chosen as the Best Hotel for Architecture and Interior Design, in the Middle East, at the prestigious Prix Villegiature Awards 2019. The awards ceremony was held on 14 October, 2019 at the historical Château de Ferrières, France.
For the second year in a row, Le Gray Beirut put Lebanon in the spotlight at the Prix Villegature Awards. In both 2018 and 2019 Le Gray Beirut was shortlisted for the Best Hotel in the Middle East category, and in 2018 won Best Hotel Pool in the Middle East, and this year went on to secure the award for Best Hotel Architecture and Interior Design in the Middle East, ahead of both Bvlgari Hotel and Atlantis in Dubai, and the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi who were all shortlisted for the award.
Proudly receiving the award, the Area General Manager of Le Gray Beirut and Campbell Gray Living and Hotel in Amman, Georges Ojeil said: “This new accolade confirms the uniqueness of Le Gray, Beirut with its beautiful architecture, its timeless interior and its 550 pieces of art. It is also a tribute to the late Kevin Dash whose signature bottom to top atrium has never ceased to allure every visitor who steps in to the hotel lobby.”
The Prix Villegiature Awards ceremony took place in the stunning 19th-century Château de Ferrières, roughly 26 kilometers east of Paris and saw more than 250 people attend including luxury hotel owners, operators and general managers.
The jury consisted of 22 influential journalists representing 15 nationalities covering all five continents, marking the uniqueness of the Villegiature Awards in the hospitality industry. The Villegature Awards have been running since 2003 and recognize the very best hotels in the Middle-East, Africa, Europe and Asia.
