Molton Brown, British fragrance makers, bewitch your senses with their first ambery-rose Eau de Parfum, Rose Dunes, an opulent scent that is an ode to the mysterious beauty of the Arabian Desert with a universal appeal that reaches far beyond the Middle East.
Created by Senior Perfumer Phillip Paparella, Rose Dunes is a sophisticated layering of floral, ambery and woody notes. It’s a scented symbol of the mystic ‘desert rose’ found in the Arabian Desert; this is not a true flower, but a unique rose-like formation of crystallised mineral clusters. The Eau de Parfum opens with fresh green pepper and ginger, enwrapped by a blooming bouquet at the heart. An addictive oudh accord awaits in the leathery, woody- musky base, while a signature note of patchouli brings depth and darkness to the beautiful trail.
We’re proud that this fragrance is 100% vegan* and like all our products, Made in England. As always, we use the best ingredients in exceptional fragrance concentrations and keep striving to find these in ways that are kinder to our world. We’ve sustainably sourced our patchouli from Sulawesi, Indonesia for its intensity and high quality. The improved cultivation process not only enhances the livelihood of farmers but helps preserve the soil. These patchouli roots are dug up as part of soil tilling and alternate crops are planted 15 months after harvest to allow the soil to restore its nutrition.
We designed our perfume bottle cap and sleeve to capture a romantic, hazy desert at sunset. For a final elegant touch, we have a ribbon that’s also made from 95% recycled materials as part of our dedication to reduce waste. Our formulas are free from parabens, phthalates and microbeads, they’re 100% vegetarian and 97% of our products are vegan* – we’ll be a 100% vegan manufacturer in 2022. We’re dedicated to reducing virgin materials, which is why we’ve made our plastic bottles with 50% recycled PET – this reduces our use of virgin plastic by the equivalent weight of approximately 4.8 million Molton Brown 300ml bottles per year. Our Elsenham manufacturing facility is carbon neutral.
