PATRIZIA HOFER APPOINTED GENERAL MANAGER FOR OPULENT AL MESSILA

Patrizia Hofer, an Italian national with almost 20 years’ international luxury hotel experience, has been appointed General Manager of the soon-to-open, opulent Al Messila, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa in Doha, part of the Marriott International’s Luxury portfolio.


During an international career in the highly competitive luxury hospitality market, Ms. Hofer, has honed the refined, interpersonal skills required to satisfy the needs of high profile, discerning guests. She has a strong focus on customer service delivery and operational excellence which is complemented by an inherent ability to exude warmth, friendliness, and reliability in her roles.  

“I am proud to be working for the world’s best luxury brand and I intend to build a work environment which creates authentic moments for our guests, guiding them on transformative journeys that touch their spirits and enrich their lives,” explained Ms Hofer. “Al Messila will be a resort for all seeking refinement and elegance infused with leisure. This will be a place where the local and expatriate communities will meet and socialize through compelling weekly events and innovative food and beverage experiences that will embrace the diversity of our cohort of renowned international chefs.

The new GM holds degrees in Tourism and Economics, Hospitality and Tourism Management, and a Masters’ in Hotel Management. She began her career in Spain with luxury Stein Group Hotels before joining The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. She has participated in the opening of several iconic properties including the signature The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong and The Nile Ritz-Carlton Cairo and worked in major-name luxury properties including Bulgari Milano and the Hotel Arts Barcelona.


She has a keen understanding of the Qatar and Middle East markets having served at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha for three years, rising to Hotel Manager and serving as a Board Member of The Ritz-Carlton Room Advisory for the Middle East and Africa.


“Hospitality is my passion and is in my DNA, therefore our aim is to deliver a genuine exceptional service from the heart that is tailored to our guests’ individual needs,” added Ms Hofer.
