PULLMAN DOHA PAYS TRIBUTE TO WOMEN WORLDWIDE BY SETTING AMBITIOUS TARGETS IN WORKPLACE

Pullman Doha, a 5-star hotel designed for guests to relax, work, and play, in collaboration with AccorHotels is commemorating women globally throughout the month of March, as part of the annual celebration of International Women’s Day.

AccorHotels – owner of Pullman Hotels and Resorts – celebrates and recognizes the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women through its dedicated DiscoverHer program, an initiative deeply embedded within the group’s DNA.

Accor’s DiscoverHer initiative reveals and highlights the inspiring careers of women at every level within the company and in all positions all over the world, through a series of podcasts that were broadcasted throughout the week of International Women’s Day.

The podcast unveiled a portrait of inspiring women, with topics ranging from their unconventional careers, progressions within the group, challenges, leadership styles, cultural diversity, and work-life balance, showing the many facets of hospitality.

General Manager of Pullman Doha, Ehab Barghouth expressed: “Sharing Accor Hotels group’s vision and values, Pullman Doha upholds the group’s belief that when female employees thrive and achieve their goals, the organization flourishes. We strive to ensure women thrive in our company, leveraging the group’s DiscoverHer program and continuously celebrating the extraordinary virtues and abilities of women every single day in our business.”

Commenting on the occasion, Pullman Doha’s Director of Sales Christina Kiwan Blanco expressed: “As a businesswomen and hotelier at heart, Pullman and Accor have created a space for women to strive and realize their dreams. The supportive environment, policies, programs, and initiatives have allowed me to reach heights conventionally dominated by men.”

Reflecting their commitment to empowering women, Accor pledged to the UN Women and Generation Equality Forum initiative and has set ambitious targets to achieve over the next 2 years. By 2025, 40% of the Executive Committee will be women (up from 32%), 40% will hold General Manager positions (up from 31% in 2022) and 45% in management committees (up by 39% in 2022).
