RIMOWA and Lehni are pleased to present their limited-edition collaboration, RIMOWA Lehni. Featuring two dedicated designs meticulously engineered for the home, the RIMOWA Lx4ehni Bench and the RIMOWA Lehni Drawer will launch on April 21st, accompanied by the ‘RIMOWA Lehni Visitor Center,’ - a curated space in Milan, open during the Design Week. Crafted in anodized aluminium available in black or silver, and specifically conceived to store and protect RIMOWA Cabin-sized suitcases, these pieces provide an elegant and harmonious solution for interiors.
For over a century, RIMOWA has defined movement through its German art of engineering and its signature aluminium. Since 1922, Lehni has embodied Swiss precision and design in aluminium furniture manufacturing. United by shared values of craftsmanship, durability, and timeless design, this is the first time Lehni has modified its legendary modular system to create a unique solution for suitcase storage. Designed to precisely fit and showcase RIMOWA Cabins, the result is a true co-design, handmade at Lehni’s Zurich factory, that celebrates each brand’s legacy and expertise.
“Together with Lehni we crafted made-to-measure pieces that perfectly marry our Swiss and German design backgrounds while celebrating our shared dedication to aluminium craftsmanship,” says Mathieu Plenier, Chief Marketing Officer of RIMOWA. “This collaboration transforms the way our suitcases live at home, creating innovative storage solutions that are both purposeful and beautifully engineered.”
Benedetta Agostini and Antonio Monaci, owners and directors of Lehni describe the project, as “technology and beauty applied to aluminium. The collaboration between RIMOWA and Lehni has resulted in a design product made entirely in Switzerland to the highest aesthetic and quality standards—characteristics that set both brands apart in the market.”
The RIMOWA Lehni Bench accommodates up to two Cabin-sized suitcases across RIMOWA’s collections in an open-shelving unit that beautifully presents the cases in a side-by-side manner. The RIMOWA Lehni Drawer offers stacked storage within a sculptural frame and a closed drawer for smaller objects, maintaining the same rigorous material standards and hand-finished detailing. Each shelf is topped with a specially developed, scratch-resistant felt matt to ensure optimal protection for all RIMOWA cases.
To mark the launch, the limited-edition pieces were displayed during Milan Design Week in the RIMOWA Lehni Visitor Center on Via Achille Maiocchi 10 from April 21 – 24, 2026. Providing a moment of calm exploration, the dedicated space will feature a refined selection of titles hand-picked by the renowned Swiss INNEN PUBLISHING, inviting visitors to unwind and find inspiration for journeys to come. To further encourage the spirit of travel, the RIMOWA Lehni Visitor Centre offered a postcard mailing station, inviting guests to send a handwritten note from Milan.
As of today, the limited-edition pieces have made their global debut at RIMOWA’s newly renovated Milan flagship store, featuring a special window by local multi-disciplinary practice, studioutte.
