ECGC is turning breast cancer awareness into breast cancer action by encouraging more women to play golf

October every year is commemorated in countries across the world as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and all efforts are devoted to increasing attention and support for the awareness, early detection and treatment as well as taking steps to prevent it.

“Being proactive can help prevention, says Mrs. Gordana Popovic Vincic, Sales and Marketing Manager at ECGC. Golf can make a difference in your life and the ones you love. If you start taking lessons, walking the golf course, and playing golf, you will get fitter and have a healthier balanced lifestyle” To rase awareness ECGC has placed pink flag poles and pink flags around the Championship 18 Hole Golf Course; host of the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters 2020.

Along with this, ECGC has introduced two new events to add to the month of October including, a Pink Day Tournament and Ladies Night Golf to encourage activity and participation.

All the ladies golfers are encouraged to play Pink Day Tournament on 26th October. Golfers can choose to play an 18 hole or 9 hole stableford. The day includes green fees, golf cart, and range privileges. Ladies can choose to wear pink shirts and play with pink golf balls if they wish. All golfers will receive a goodie bag with healthy snacks and drinks from our sponsor Q-22. Winners will get valuable prizes from Park Hyatt Hotel and Roots Salon.

This October ECGC is starting with Ladies Night Golf Society. Ladies can play every Wednesday from 5PM till 8PM on floodlit course. “We are inviting all ladies, beginners, or advanced golfers to start playing on our 9hole course regularly, meet other ladies and socialize after the game. Join us for the first time on 28th October at 5pm “says Mrs. Popovic Vincic.
