Berluti’s ultimate emblematic leather goods line, Jour has always been synonymous with the Maison’s craftsmanship and know-how, and bears all of Berluti’s sartorial codes, from patinated Venezia leather to knowing bootmaker nods in the details. The line, which includes the Un Jour (in Gulliver, Mini and Nano sizes), Deux Jours and Toujours (Gulliver and Mini) bags, the Nino pouch, the Jour Off weekender as well as the Time Off Backpack and the Itauba, Makore, Jagua, Santal, Bambou and Imbuia small leather goods, has thus long been a Berluti iconic.
For the Summer 2022 season, Berluti is introducing a renewed version of the Jour in which its elements, from functionality to design, details and finishing, are subtly reworked to further fine-tune the range for a new era and refines all of those codes to render them both current and timeless.
Most noteworthy upgrades across the line include a new lining in all the bags, made from a natural beige linen and cotton fabric with a water-repellent treatment to bring luminosity to the bag’s interior, and topped off with internal leather trimmings; Venezia leather shoulder straps; a new chape design and more slender palladium frames on the handles; and a newly shaped, elongated leather zip puller. The result is a slicker, unapologetically modern version of the classic Jour pieces.
Additionally, the functionality in each piece is improved in different ways: the Nino clutch features a new side construction and stitching; the Time Off backpack has a new ergonomic handle design and trolley loop; the Toujours tote boasts finer stitching and an airier silhouette; the Jour Off weekender includes a more accessible, wider opening in addition to a luggage tag and a padlock.
Small leather goods are also revamped through softer, more fluid lines in the card-carrying compartments of wallets, extra pockets, and card slots, as well as a new, smooth black leather lining, and a leaner overall look.
The revamped Jour line will be available worldwide both in Berluti stores and Berluti e-shop from March 2022.
