Berluti has created a Denim Capsule collection to be first introduced in its new relocated Ginza store in Tokyo.
The Denim Capsule is a celebration of Berluti’s longstanding relationship with Japan, which dates back to 1999, when the first Berluti store - the very first outside Europe - opened in Tokyo’s Aoyama neighbourhood.
Inspired by traditional Japanese denim treatment, know-how and attention to detail, the collection uses brut denim - lightly rinsed to achieve a casual effect and a vibrant colour - completed with a coil-engraved Scritto pattern revealing a white denim shade, and topped off with patina finishings, staying true to the Maison’s DNA.
Ready-to-wear pieces are laser-focused and include a selection of Berluti’s Essentials, from a shirt to a B-Way jacket with an XXL Scritto motif. A jean and a short blouson celebrate classic denim design and shapes, and a one-pocket overshirt provides a thoroughly modern counterpoint. Jersey pieces - a double-face sweatshirt and a tee - are embroidered through a meticulous process to mimic denim. A baseball cap gives the finishing touch.
The Denim Capsule collection was first presented at Berluti’s new Ginza store on August 26th and is now available across select Berluti stores worldwide.
