JW Anderson Women’s Spring Summer 2022 by Juergen Teller

JW Anderson is pleased to present its Women’s Spring Summer 2022 collection in the form of a calendar with images shot by Juergen Teller. The 2022 calendar includes a total of 26 images (2 per month plus a front and back cover) with a mix of women’s ready-to-wear images interspersed with images of the photographer himself. The models were shot on location at a London tyre shop. The tyres were then transported from the location shoot to Juergen’s studio for his self-portraits. The Spring Summer 2022 collection is JW Anderson’s sixth presentation in the form of printed matter (aka a show in a box) and the fourth season in a row shot by Teller.

Jonathan Anderson’s latest collection for his eponymous brand is an uncompromising exploration of texture, material, and juxtapositions in volume. Artisanal art deco themes adorn light and airy silhouettes. Heavy embellishments are accomplished in delicate way with consequential hardware employed in accessories and straps and resin ring adornments. The notion and execution of extreme juxtapositions is expressed in high shine pink patent versus soft napa leather dresses; billowing architectural skirts with form fitting tops; voluminous trousers in Japanese denim paired with a garment fully factored in crinoline mesh.

The JW Anderson Twister bag arrives in a new mini dimension in high vis pop colourways. The collection is also the introduction of the JW Anderson Bumper bag in three distinct shapes (half-moon, baguette, and hobo) and all featuring an inflated seam detail in contrast colours. The same detail is carried through to the Bumper Heel Sandal and Bumper Mule.
