This March, KSA’s leading modest fashion house, Leem launched its Spring Summer 2021 collection for women in stores across the KSA, UAE and Bahrain, and on the Leem app, available in KSA. The season ushers in a collection of fashion-first modest wear pieces with global appeal. Specialising in essential staples with an air of luxe that form the building blocks of any modest wardrobe, Leem's stylish SS21 silhouettes continue to mark the intersection of conservative fit and modern flair, elevating the fashion quotient of its all-inclusive clientele-base, whether they choose to conceal for culture or as a personal preference of style.
An expression of chic discretion, the SS21 collection navigates a landscape punctuated by the ultra-feminine, think floral prints, prairie dresses, soft gradient hues, swishing pleats and sheer fabrics. The season also sees the interjection of bold trends via eye-catching statements including exaggerated shoulders, vibrant pops of solid colour, studded embellishments, ethnic print accents, photographic prints on jersey and the classic yet striking use of monochrome.
Furthermore, this Spring Summer, Leem showcases its distinct eye for detail, with the inclusion of reinvented shapes, ambiguous layers and creative pairings. Neutrals are infused and layered with bold accents of colour while 1970s silhouettes take to the stage through wide-leg high-waisted pants. Flowing dresses in soft-feminine shapes and low-slung knotted hijabs make for essential wardrobe staples for the modest woman this season.
The Leem colours are lively creative narrations in shades of white, glistening gold, fresh aqua, cobalt blue, jet black paired with pops of vibrant hues such as warm yellow, orange and teal. The palette is further wagered on eccentric splashes of pink with yellow, emerald, mint and dark green, and not to forget khaki, a classic summer palette foundation.
Taking cues from the current climate, Leem also gives special attention to chic comfort. Making a statement for Spring Summer is the loungewear range, which is back and better than ever with the inclusion of “comfort dresses”. And, as always, quality is front of mind for Leem, with its unique knits, fleeces and jersey fabric with soft finishing, as well as new additions - a very special and soft Tencel, a bamboo-viscose blend and cotton jacquard, specially created for this collection.
Another standout for the season is the Abaya collection inclusive of solid tones, vibrant patterns in grey hues and, for the bold, incorporated with splashes of colour. Furthermore, transitional dressing makes for cooler wear during the summer months with built-in dress and abaya styles that form one piece, without the need for layering.
