Luxury Maison unveils a unique boutique experience on the Champs-Elysées showcasing its product categories in an elegant hotel-inspired setting
Stepping into the new Montblanc boutique on the iconic Champs-Elysées in Paris is like stepping into the welcoming lobby of one of the city’s most luxurious hotels. With its latest concept opening July 30th 2022, Montblanc is introducing customers to a new way of experiencing the brand and its products with different aspects of on display in multiple elegantly designed spaces.

The Grand Entrance: Before even entering the building, a magnificent grille featuring the design of a Montblanc nib and a mosaic on the floor forming the name of the boutique Montblanc Suite 4810 Paris welcomes guests. 4810 is the height of the Montblanc in metres at the time the Montblanc brand came into existence over 115 years ago, a number used to underscore the Maison’s commitment for reaching the summit of craftsmanship and design excellence with each of its products.
The Lobby: It’s time to check in at a restored 1950s vintage counter sourced from a Montblanc boutique, where a host is on standby to customize visitors’ experience based on preferences and interests. The black lacquer on the walls of the lobby is reminiscent of the precious deep black resin of the iconic Meisterstück writing instrument. Across from the counter, the Ink Bar is a space for artistic and creative expression where customers can try out the Montblanc nib selection and inks of many different colours.
The concierge area: Inside this creative place of expression for the brand, guests are invited to discover what makes the soul and the whole universe of Montblanc across product categories as well as new capsule collections. At a small desk, an expert “concierge” is on hand to personalize accessories, paint on leather or even advise on writing techniques and calligraphy.
The Salon Écriture and Salon Horlogerie: The beating heart of the store with décor inspired by the Art Deco period and white walls evoking paper on which words are written. The frieze above is reminiscent of the racks found in the watchmaking workshops of Montblanc Manufactures. In the spirit of a cocktail bar, the Montblanc timepieces are displayed on the counter of a Watch Bar for customers to try on.
La Bagagerie: At the back of the store is a contemporary and dynamic place dedicated to leather goods. In a sophisticated and welcoming environment, the leather pieces are magnified in a special display featuring a large counter in elegant Travertino marble. A seating area gives customers an opportunity to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Montblanc leather craftsmanship, while a mobility area is dedicated to trying out travel trolleys.
Montblanc Suite 4810: Up the elevator from the lobby, special guests are invited to the Salon of the Montblanc Suite 4810 to get a closer look at exceptional pieces from the Montblanc collection. Inside the Treasure Room, a bank vault features several small chests on the different walls housing rare and high artistry writing editions. In this intimate setting, guests can discover pieces sourced directly from the archive room at Montblanc Haus in Hamburg, representing the Maison’s rich history They can get even closer to Montblanc pieces by using professional tools, all while experiencing breath-taking view of the Arc de Triomphe.
