ETRO participates in the first Metaverse Fashion Week organized on the Decentraland platform. The brand brings to the runway a collection that celebrates the Liquid Paisley motif: a new contemporary interpretation of one of the House's most iconic codes in a vibrant palette of fresh and joyful colors of candy pink, emerald green and sunny yellow.
The women and men's ready-to-wear looks, worn by 20 avatar-models, embody the brand’s genderless approach spreading a strong message of energy and positivity.
The new pattern is imbued with ETRO’s evolving spirit of freedom and harmony, breaking down barriers and preset rules to shape an inclusive vision that is fully in line with the metaverse world: open and accessible to all.
The Liquid Paisley prints, envisioned as new modern monochromes, reinvent the emblematic Paisley pattern with unexpected tattoo effects delivering an eclectic twist to a variety of fabrics such as cotton, jersey and denim, as well as to brightly coated outerwear, extending the ETRO imagery to a wide audience including those diving into the world of prints for the first time.
Drawing on a contemporary code of carefree layering and flowing textures, boho- chic mini-dresses, oversized shirts and men's co-ords are rendered with striking color-blocks, sunny hues, cutout details, asymmetric styles, and flounces and ruffles that elevate the all-over motifs across the intangible boundary between the real and the virtual.
The collection is completed with an edited range of must-have accessories featuring the Liquid Paisley Crown Me bags, maxi-totes with matching bucket hats and the Crown Me platform sandals with slim straps and antique-finished studs.
The fashion show has been staged in the heart of Decentraland's Luxury Fashion District, where ETRO has also opened its first pop-up store allowing customers to shop the collection by landing from the virtual catwalk directly on etro.com. Customers will be able to play with garments and accessories, available for free, to outfit their avatars in the metaverse.
